  • KDA Announces New Specialty Crop Grant Opportunity

    The Kansas Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for the 2021 Specialty Crop Block Grant H.R. 133 Stimulus Program. This program is in addition to the traditional Specialty Crop Block Grant Program; awards for that program will be announced later this fall.
  • KDA Offers Livestock Marketing Webinar Series

    Raising and marketing purebred livestock has never been easy, but in recent years, it has become increasingly challenging. For five weeks this fall, the Kansas Department of Agriculture will be offering a free webinar series designed to provide more insight into innovative livestock marketing plans and strategies. The five-part webinar series will be held Wednesday evenings, from October 6 through November 3, at 7:00 p.m.
  • KDA to Host 15th Annual Kansas Grape Stomp at the Kansas State Fair

    Feel the squish of the grapes in the time-honored tradition of grape stomping as you help celebrate the grape and farm winery industries in Kansas. The Kansas Department of Agriculture will host the 15th annual Kansas Grape Stomp on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 1:00 p.m. on the Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System Stage at Lake Talbott at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson.

  • 2021 Organic Certification Cost Share Program Now Accepting Applications

    The Kansas Department of Agriculture has funds available for the National Organic Certification Cost Share Program (NOCCSP). Through this program, farms, ranches, and businesses that produce, process or package certified organic agricultural products may be reimbursed for eligible expenses.

    The Kansas Department of Agriculture has recently updated its interactive map of Kansas, showing the economic contribution of agriculture across the state. Located on the KDA website, this interactive resource can be used to find the agricultural economic facts for each of the 105 counties in Kansas, as well as a report for the entire state.
