The Agricultural Advocacy, Marketing & Outreach team works across lines with other state agencies and organizations to facilitate economic growth, provide awareness of and improve the overall environment for agriculture in Kansas. State agency partners include Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), with whom we work to provide a sustainable agricultural industry while at the same time protecting our soils, air and water.
We also work with the Kansas Department of Commerce to grow existing industry and attract new business to Kansas. The marketing team works closely with the many commodity and trade associations that represent Kansas agriculture. Other resources of the agriculture marketing team are the relationships with various private organizations that provide both financial and technical assistance in the development of a new business or the expansion of an existing one. Lastly, the marketing team has strong ties to our state’s universities and partners with them to promote research that creates better pathways for the future of Kansas agriculture.
