The Middle Smoky Hill Custom Watershed Floodplain Mapping update project will produce Base Level Engineering (BLE) floodplains for the entire custom watershed. Enhanced data development is anticipated to begin in 2024 for the areas that will undergo a regulatory update. Ellis County was not included because it is being updated as part of a separate county-wide project. This website will be updated with relevant content as the project moves forward. The Kickoff Meeting was held virtually on November 17, 2020, and the Discovery Meeting was held virtually on March 10, 2021. The presentation slides are located below.

Ellsworth
The floodplain mapping for Ellsworth County is planned to update the portions of the county that were not updated as part of the most recent PMR. This includes updating the floodplain maps for the cities of Ellsworth, Kanopolis, and Wilson. The project web page will be updated as the project moves forward.
