The Dodge City Flood Hazard Mapping project has developed draft floodplain maps to reflect that the Dodge City Levee is unaccredited and thus doesn't show the levee providing protection against the 1% annual chance flood. The hydrology used in the study is based on the 2020 mixed distribution hydrologic analysis study and the hydraulics is based on the updated hydrology and the Arkansas River channel excavation.
