This educational webinar provided information on legislation concerning the U.S. Department of Labor’s H–2A program for temporary agricultural employment of foreign workers via the Farm Worker Modernization Act. The webinar also provided insight on the process and necessary documentation needed for obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and the differences between a CDL and farm vehicle operations. The final piece of the webinar featured a facilitated discussion allowing participants to ask questions and provide comments on issues concerning the H–2A program.

The webinar featured Kansas manufacturers SureFire Ag (Atwood), ShieldAg (Hutchinson), and Farmada (Assaria), who shared their story of collaboration in innovating and marketing the Farmada NH3 toolbar.

Clearing the Confusion, Meat Marketing Consumer Basics is a webinar where participants will learn basic meat science from Collette Kaster of the American Meat Science Association, followed by Chad Bontrager of Yoder Meats, Bowser Meat Processing, and Heartland Meat Market, who will address common meat processing questions. Finally, the Kansas Beef Council will share recipes as well as resources to help consumers utilize more uncommon cuts of beef.

KDA hosted a virtual livestock export webinar in October 2020 featuring speakers who are industry experts in exporting livestock and genetics around the globe. Participants learned about export strategies and gained an understanding of export financing and regulatory requirements.

This webinar is designed for seedstock producers, allied industry, or anyone interested in learning more about exporting livestock or livestock genetics.
