You do not have to be an agricultural education teacher to teach about agriculture in your classroom. Whether you are an English, math, science, family consumer sciences or physical education teacher there are an abundance of lesson plans and ideas for incorporating agriculture in your classroom available for you.

The Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom offers specific lesson plans about Kansas commodities for free on their website. They also offer Kansas teachers a series of professional training opportunities around the state throughout the year; check their website frequently for updates.

Kansas Farm Bureau Education and Outreach provides a variety of resources for use in educating and advocating to others about the agriculture industry.

Nutrients for Life Foundation provides information and resources to educators about the vital role fertilizers play in feeding our world, including science-based educational materials about the role crop nutrients play in agriculture.
