In order to promote safe driving habits and to protect and preserve state resources, it is the policy of the Kansas Department of Agriculture that each employee take personal responsibility for operating state vehicles and personal vehicles used for official business. Progressive disciplinary action may be taken against an employee who is involved in an accident, collision, or other incident that involves the employee;s failure to obey all applicable traffic laws, negligence, or other avoidable factors.
