Vehicles, Operating on State Business

KDA employees must have a valid driver’s license to operate a state-owned or leased vehicle or personal vehicle (while on state business). All KDA employees operating or riding in a state-owned or leased vehicle or personal vehicles (while on state business) shall have the seat belts properly fastened while the vehicle is in motion. Any collision, traffic citations, or other incident involving a state or leased vehicle shall be reported, by the employee involved, to the program manager within two working days of the occurrence, with a description of the incident. Failure to make this report may be cause for disciplinary action for the employee involved. KDA specific vehicle policy is included in the policy section of the handbook.
