In June, two representatives from the Kansas Department of Agriculture traveled to Japan on an agribusiness trade mission led by the USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs, Ted McKinney. The trade mission, which was the largest ever USDA-led trade mission, included representatives from state departments of agriculture as well as private agribusinesses.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture Division of Water Resources (KDA-DWR) will host a public informational meeting on Thursday, June 28, to discuss proposed changes to the city of Wichita’s Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) project. The meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Halstead High School Auditorium, 520 W. 6th St. in Halstead.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture is seeking individuals to participate in a beef genetics trade mission to Uruguay from September 12–17, 2018. This trade mission provides an opportunity for Kansas purebred beef cattle producers and allied industries to develop relationships with livestock producers in Uruguay to increase market opportunities for U.S. and Kansas beef genetics.
