Webinar on USDA Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant Program

The Kansas Office of Broadband Development,  in partnership with the Office of Recovery, the Kansas Department of Agriculture, and the Office of Rural Prosperity, invite you to a webinar with details on the USDA Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) Grant Program application process.

The US Department of Agriculture recently allotted $42.3 million in funding for Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) Grants

  • The goal of the program is to help rural communities use the unique capabilities of telecommunications to connect to each other and to the world, overcoming the effects of remoteness and low population density
  • The program supports eligible rural communities with the costs associated with capital assets, instructional programming, and technical assistance

DLT Grants are available to rural areas with population of 20,000 or less, including:

  • Most state and local governmental entities
  • Federally-recognized tribes
  • Non-profits
  • For-profit businesses
  • Consortia of eligible entities

Join us on Thursday, April 8, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. CDT to learn more about how to get ready for when the application opens soon!
