From the Land of Kansas teams up with Chef Alli’s Farm Fresh Kitchen at the 2015 State Fair

 Fair attendees can sample recipes focused on incorporating Kansas foods and ingredients

MANHATTAN, Kan. – From the Land of Kansas, the state agricultural trademark program, will be at the Kansas State Fair featuring Chef Alli’s Farm Fresh Kitchen and Kansas products and ingredients.

Kansans visiting the From the Land of Kansas booth, located in the Pride of Kansas building, can sample Kansas treats prepared by Chef Alli with From the Land of Kansas member’s ingredients and products. Visitors will have the opportunity to try her tasty recipes and can also purchase the featured Kansas products.

“We have worked with Chef Alli to create six unique dishes we will be mixing up for the State Fair to introduce new approaches to food,” said Stacy Mayo, From the Land of Kansas director. “The recipes are focused on helping the home cook incorporate Kansas foods and ingredients into their everyday cooking.”

In addition to Kansas food samples and products, the From the Land of Kansas booth will have a variety of Kansas gifts available for sale including T-shirts, handcrafted mugs, Kansas-shaped cutting boards made from Kansas wood, clocks, aprons and reusable bags.

“If you are looking for a gift that says Kansas, you’ll want to make sure to visit the From the Land of Kansas booth,” said Mayo.

From the Land of Kansas is Kansas’ agriculture trademark program. The program’s goal is to identify and help businesses that grow, produce, process or manufacture products in Kansas. In addition, the program works with and supports restaurants using Kansas products and retailers selling Kansas products and ingredients.
